Most credit cards are accepted in Denmark and Sweden, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and Eurocard. Credit cards are used a lot and it is quite usual to use them for small amounts (including taxis). You can also use credit cards in cash machines and ATMs for cash withdrawals.

In Sweden, the EC card is not generally accepted as a credit card but can be used in many cash machines. 

Banks are open from 09.30 to 16.00 (4pm) on weekdays.
Thursdays until 5.30pm.
Saturdays and Sundays closed. 

Weekdays, 9.30 am to 3.00 pm (some cities until 5:30pm).
Thursdays until 6.00 pm.
Saturdays and Sundays closed.
